08 PLASTIC BATTLE ARMOR MODELING SHOW

1.1. CATEGORY I
Military Land Vehicles 1914-1945 World Wars (Code: 1K)

This category covers all types of military land vehicles served in any region of the world during and in between World Wars of I and II. Model kits of any scale, out of the box, made of plastic/resin/metal or detailed with any kind of aftermarket or scratch built material will compete in this category. It is not compulsory to present the manual of the model as a reference. Figures can be presented with the vehicle but they have no influence on the evaluation of the model. Model base is not required in this category. If used, they will have no effect on the evaluation. If needed, a “Masters” sub category may be added by the jury.

1.2. CATEGORY II
Military Land Vehicles 1945 and onwards (Code: 2K)

This category covers all types of military land vehicles served in any region of the world after the World War II. Model kits of any scale, out of the box, made of plastic/resin/metal or detailed with any kind of aftermarket or scratch built material will compete in this category. It is not compulsory to present the manual of the model as a reference. Figures can be presented with the vehicle but they have no influence on the evaluation of the model. Model base is not required in this category. If used, they will have no effect on the evaluation. If needed, a “Masters” sub category may be added by the jury.

1.3. CATEGORY III 
Military Figures (Code: 3K)

This category covers all types of military figures from any historical period and any nation, made from plastic, resin and metal in 1/35 or higher scale. Busts, fantasy and sci-fi subjects will not be evaluated, they can only be displayed at the exhibition. Only one figure model per entry will be accepted. However figures can have supportive elements like children or animals. These items are also subject to evaluation. A base is not required for this category, however if used they should be smaller than 6x6cm. These bases are also subject to evaluation. It is not compulsory to present the construction or painting manual of the model as a reference. Evaluation will be done on the basis of construction, detailing, painting, finishing and presentation.

1.4 CATEGORY IV
Fantasy Figures (Code: 4K)

This category covers all types of fantasy figures in any scale made from plastic, resin and metal. Only one figure model per entry will be accepted. However figures can have supportive elements like children or animals. These items are also subject to evaluation. A base is not required for this category, however if used they should be smaller than 6x6cm. These bases are also subject to evaluation. It is not compulsory to present the construction or painting manual of the model as a reference. Evaluation will be done on the basis of construction, detailing, painting, finishing and presentation.

1.5 CATEGORY V
Diorama (Code: 5K)

This category covers any subject from 1914 and onwards. Diorama must contain at least one hard or soft skin military land vehicle presented on a base of any material and in any scale. Entire scene will be subject to evaluation meaning that each figure, weapon, material, building, animal, plant, and any surface details will be scored. Entries with a plain base or a base smaller than 15x15cm will not be allowed in this category. Bases must contain at least one of the elements listed above. Diaromas with two or less figures will be moved to an appropriate category in accordance with the vehicle’s time frame. Apart from these rules, diaromas will be evaluated according to the following criteria as well:

• Theme and composition.

• Authenticity and realism according to the time frame.

• Creative use of materials.

• Fixing/fastening of objects

1.6 CATEGORY VI
1/72 Scale (Code: 6K)

This category covers all types of military land vehicles served in any region of the world in 1914 and onwards in 1/72 scale. Model kits, out of the box, made of plastic/resin/metal or detailed with any kind of aftermarket or scratch built material will compete in this category. It is not compulsory to present the manual of the model as a reference. It is not compulsory to present the manual of the model as a reference. Figures can be presented with the vehicle but they have no influence on the evaluation of the model. Model base is not required in this category. If used, they will have no effect on the evaluation. If needed, a “Masters” sub category may be added by the jury.

2. RULES

2.1. Models awarded previously in this competition will not be accepted to compete once again. However they can be displayed at the exhibition.
2.2. If needed, modelers may be asked for reference on their subjects by the jury.
2.3. If needed, models can be moved into different or correct categories, additional categories can be created or existing ones can be closed or merged by the jury.
2.4. Modelers can compete in multiple categories with multiple models. However, only the highest scoring model will be awarded of that modeler having more than one competing models in the same category. His/her models in that category will not be evaluated. By this way, other modelers will get a chance to be awarded if they have the potential.
2.5. Contestants hereby accept all of these rules, regulations and calls of the organizers.

4. SUBMISSION OF THE MODELS

Submissions will be accepted on September 5, 2015 Saturday in between 09:00 and 13:30 local time. Modelers who do not wish to enter the contest can display their models at the exhibition section.

5. COMPETITION DATES

Evaluation will begin on September 5, 2015 Saturday after 13:30 local time.
Award ceremony will be held on September 6, 2015 Sunday 13:00 local time.

6. RETRIEVAL OF THE MODELS 

Models will be taken back on September 6, 2015 Sunday after 15:00 local time.

7. CONTEST RESULTS

The results will be announced during the ceremony on September 6, and published online at https://www.plasticbattle.com and https://www.fnss.com.tr on September 7, 2015.
