Predictive Maintenance is an intelligent maintenance approach that anticipates potential failures in a system before they occur, enabling maintenance activities to be planned at the right time and in the right way. Thanks to this approach, vehicle operational continuity is maintained, unplanned downtime is prevented, combat readiness and availability is kept at the highest level.
FNSS offers its users high operational availability during the operation and support phase through the Predictive Maintenance application integrated to its vehicles. FNSS Predictive Maintenance Application has been shaped by hundreds of thousands of kilometres of FNSS vehicles’ test data accumulated over the years; it has matured through the development of today’s powerful technologies, namely artificial intelligence and machine learning and is now ready for the users.
The application works by:
- Analysing continuously collected data from sensors integrated into the vehicle’s critical subsystems,
- Defining normal operating ranges for each system under different environmental and operational conditions,
- Comparing the collected data with the defined operating ranges.
In this way, the vehicle is continuously monitored not only through its current performance, but also through its behavioural trends.
If a system goes outside the defined normal operating ranges, this may be an indication of an imminent failure. These early signs are sent as warnings to the vehicle operator and maintenance personnel before a failure actually occurs. Once the warning is issued, the operator and maintenance personnel can refer to the technical manuals for failure resolution; they can also connect 24/7 without interruption to FNSS Remote Support service or the AI-powered FNSS Support Assistant.
With these early warnings, the operator can monitor the system more closely, plan the required maintenance in advance, or make the right decision regarding part replacement in a timely manner.
